For the new flu season this year, Total Pediatric Healthcare recommends that you get your child and your family vaccinated. The Covid-19 pandemic continues to affect our communities and there is considerable evidence that fighting both at the same time may cause severe complications. Fortunately, common Covid-19 precautions such as washing your hands, wearing a mask and avoiding large gatherings also help to protect you and your family from the flu as well.
We know that the similarities between Covid-19 and flu symptoms can cause confusion and distress. Here are some helpful links explaining some of the differences so that it does not cause you unnecessary worry.
As always, Total Pediatric Healthcare remains focused on the health of our community. For any questions you may have, please contact your nearest practice office.
